How Creator Partnerships works
Rose · 2 September 2026
You post cooking videos. People save them. Then the saved video sits in a folder with two hundred others and never becomes dinner. Yumzi exists to close that gap: it reads the recipe out of the video, amounts and all, and turns it into something a person can cook tonight. Creator Partnerships is Yumzi’s program for the people who made those videos in the first place.
This is how it works, start to finish, including the parts other programs leave for the contract.
What you get
Your name is already on your recipes.
If people save your cooking videos, your name is already on those recipes in Yumzi, partner or not: the recipe says “Read from @yourhandle’s video” and links back to the original, and the card they share when they cook it says the same. That is attribution, and it happens for every creator whose video is saved. A promo video about Yumzi never lands on a recipe, because nobody saves it as a recipe. Today the handle shows for TikTok and YouTube links, where it is part of the link. For Instagram reels the recipe links back to your video but does not show your handle yet. We are working on that, and until it ships we do not claim it. As a partner you also earn, and that is what the rest of this page is about.
Thirty percent, for six months.
When a person you referred subscribes, you get 30 percent of the net subscription revenue we receive from them in the first six months after their first payment. Net means after the app store’s commission and VAT. A year paid up front lands in month one and counts in full. One thing to know before you apply: the paid plan is 4.99 euro a month or 39.99 euro a year and opens after launch. Until someone you referred pays, your share reads zero, and your dashboard shows sign-ups and first cooks from day one. We show first cooks so you can see what a post does. We pay on subscriptions.
How to join
- Create a Yumzi account, if you do not have one. A creator is a normal account with a creator profile on top.
- Apply at yumzi.food/creators/apply. Seven questions: where you post and your handle on each of those channels, roughly how many follow you, whether your followers save your cooking videos, what you cook, how you want to be paid, and a tick that you read the terms.
- We read it ourselves and reply by email. Give it a few days.
- Once approved, your dashboard shows your link and your code. The link goes in your bio and your captions. The code is for people who install the app from the App Store and type it at sign-in.
What your dashboard shows
What we show and what we pay, side by side. Link opens, sign-ups and first cooks, so you can see what a post does; they are not paid. Paid subscriptions and your share per month, which is what we pay. Your balance, and a chart of the last twelve months. If a number looks wrong, you email us and we show you how we got to it.
The honest bits
Yumzi is small and early, and every number you see from us will say so. Your dashboard shows the real counts, including how many people have an account today, so nobody has to take our word for it.
Payouts are at the end of every month, from 25 euro, by bank transfer, a Tikkie or iDEAL payment request you send us, PayPal or Wise. We ask for your details when a payout is due and we do not store bank details in the app.
What we ask of you
Make every post about Yumzi recognisable as advertising. Dutch advertising rules require it and so do we: a label such as ‘AD’, ‘Reclame’ or ‘(Betaald) partnerschap’, or the platform’s paid-partnership feature, always with Yumzi tagged or named; ‘affiliate’ or ‘partner link’ on its own is not enough. Post your own videos, not other creators’. No spam, no ads on our brand name, and nothing Yumzi does not do. We may use the videos you make about Yumzi in our own ads, and we tell you before we do. The partner guide, open to you once you are signed in, has the five things that are true and the things not to say.
Everything above is in the partnership terms, in the same words. That is the point of this program: the page, the terms and the dashboard say the same thing. Start at yumzi.food/creators.
FAQ
Do I need a big following?
No. We look for people who post their own cooking videos and whose followers write "saving this". A small, real audience that cooks beats a large one that scrolls.
Does Yumzi pay per click or per sign-up?
No. Per subscription: 30 percent of the net revenue for the six months after a referred person's first payment. Clicks, sign-ups and first cooks are on your dashboard so you can see what a post does, but they are not paid.
What about Instagram?
Your link and code work the same on Instagram. The one difference is the handle on the recipe: for TikTok and YouTube links the recipe shows "Read from @yourhandle's video"; for Instagram reels it links back to your video without the handle, for now.
Is there a paid plan yet?
The paid plan is 4.99 euro a month or 39.99 euro a year and opens after launch. Saving, cooking and the shopping list stay free. Until someone you referred pays, your share reads zero, and the dashboard says so.
